KABALE: Kabale District has commenced the distribution of twin desks to over 32 schools in dire need of desks to improve learning conditions.
According to the Acting Kabale District Education Officer, Moses Bwengye Tumwijukye, the district will distribute 400 twin desks to schools with high pupil-to-desk ratios, aiming to reduce overcrowding on desks.
Tumwijukye noted that the desks were purchased under the School Maintenance Grant program. He also mentioned that the district will provide roofing materials to schools where parents have contributed and built classrooms up to the roofing level.

Presiding over the distribution, Kabale District LCV Chairperson Nelson Nshangabasheija urged all stakeholders in these schools to ensure the proper use of the desks to create a conducive learning environment.
