KABALE – Authorities at Uganda College of Commerce in Kabale District have appealed to the government to provide the institution with adequate learning equipment, particularly computers, to enhance the delivery of practical lessons to students.

According to Bernard Nuwagira, the college principal, the institution lack computers to facilitate practical teachings. Nuwagira revealed this yesterday during the graduation ceremony of 830 students that graduated in various disciplines.

He said that the institution relies on 50 computers donated by the Uganda Communication Commission a decade ago, which are insufficient. He added that the ratio of current computers is {1-15} students per computer which has limited the capacity to train students, especially during practical lessons and examination periods.

Nuwagira emphasized that the institution lacks the financial capacity to purchase computers and urgently called on the government to intervene.
