KABALE – President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has contributed 100 million towards the construction of a multi-purpose Centenary building at Kigezi High school in Kabale District.
President Museveni‘s Contribution was delivered by the vice president of the republic of Uganda Rtd Maj Jesca Alupo today at the centenary celebrations of Kigezi high school primary and Kigezi high school that was held at Kigezi High school Primary playground in Kabale municipality, Kabale district.
The event aimed at raising Shs4 Billion that will be used to construct a multi-purpose Centenary building that will accommodate a computer laboratory, innovations center, hall of honor and offices, among others.
The president thanked Kigezi high school for producing influential and outstanding personalities. The president urged current students to be disciplined stay focused on their goals and shun destructive behaviors like drunkenness, smoking, among others which destructs both physical and mental health.
President Museveni also urged school administrators to intergrate career guidance in school curriculum to help learners study subjects that are in the job market.

The Chairperson Kigezi high school Old Students Association who also doubles as the special envoy in Uganda Rt Hon. Dr. Livingstone Ruhakana Rugunda thanked the Church of Uganda that laid the foundation of Kigezi high school. He thanked old students for the role they have played in the development of Uganda.

While preaching at the function, the North Kigezi diocesan Bishop who is also an Old student Rt Rev. Onesmus Asiimwe urged people to take education as the only way to develop the country because it is the equalizer of people of all people of different backgrounds.
