“My party, the NRM, has a manifesto that I will implement. However, I also commit to addressing the unique challenges facing the people in this division, such as the high ground and property taxes, which have driven some businesses to closure,” Nambi said. She pledged to lobby the City Authority and Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) to review these tax policies.

Nambi also outlined plans to collaborate with State House authorities to establish a Presidential Youth Skilling Hub in the constituency. This initiative will train young people in vocational skills such as mechanics, arts and crafts, weaving, and hairdressing to tackle the high unemployment rate, especially in ghetto communities.

“We are actively looking for space to establish this center before my campaign ends because this issue is urgent,” she stated.

She urged voters to avoid supporting the opposition, arguing that they “lack direction.”

“Why should we elect individuals who oppose government programs like the Parish Development Model and Emyooga, which aim to uplift communities regardless of political affiliation? Their focus is on personal interests rather than development,” she said.

NRM’s Director of Mobilization, Hon. Rosemary Seninde, reaffirmed the ruling party’s determination to win, expressing confidence in their message of development.

“Our goal is victory, and we believe the voters appreciate our vision,” Seninde stated.

She further outlined key development priorities, including:

Building more trenches to mitigate flooding during the rainy season.

Increasing government funding for poverty alleviation programs.

Tarmacking the remaining roads to improve infrastructure and living standards in Kawempe North.

Nambi and her campaign team are set to continue their voter outreach on Sunday, engaging residents in Kyebando Ward.
