KABALE: The Kabale District COVID-19 taskforce has mandated the wearing of face masks at Kabale Regional Referral Hospital and Kabale District headquarters as part of their strategy to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Godfrey Nyakahuma, the Kabale Resident District Commissioner and Chairperson of the District COVID-19 taskforce, announced on Wednesday that this decision comes in the wake of two recent deaths due to COVID-19 in the area.

Nyakahuma disclosed that last month, Kabale Regional Referral Hospital admitted 16 COVID-19 patients, emphasizing the importance of vaccination, as vaccines are readily available at various health facilities within the district.
