The Church of Uganda and the Ministry of Water and Environment have signed a 12-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening climate resilience, restoring wetland ecosystems and improving household incomes through sustainable aquaculture across the country.

The agreement was signed on Thursday at the Ministry of Water and Environment Headquarters in Luzira, Kampala, by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr Alfred Okot Okidi, on behalf of the Government of Uganda, and the Provincial Secretary of the Church of Uganda, Rev Canon William Ongeng, on behalf of the Registered Trustees of the Church of Uganda.
