The First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Kataaha Museveni, has reaffirmed the National Resistance Movement’s commitment to grassroots mobilisation as the party intensifies preparations for the 15 January 2026 elections.

Speaking at Kyamate Secondary School in Ntungamo District on Monday, where the NRM Secretariat launched a village-to-village and household-to-household outreach, Janet Museveni highlighted the transformative power of community engagement.

Having served Ruhaama County as Member of Parliament for a decade, she noted that real change begins at the village level, where leaders understand citizens’ challenges and work closely with them to find sustainable solutions.

Janet Museveni, who also serves as the NRM District Chairperson for Ntungamo, said the new mobilisation drive reflects the party’s determination to energise its supporters and avoid complacency ahead of the polls.
