KABALE
The Minister of State for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, David Bahati has implored LC1 and 2 Chairpersons to use the bicycles donated by Government of Uganda through Ministry of Local government to mobilize for government programs.
Minister Bahati made the call while officiating at the distribution of 667 bicycles to LC1 and 2 Chairpersons in Kabale district at Kabale Municipal stadium in Kabale Municipality.
Minister Bahati observed that the bicycles will go a long Journey to facilitate the beneficiaries to perfect their role, keep security on ground and Monitor government programs in their respective areas.
The kabale district Woman Member of parliament Hon Catherine Atwakiire Ndamira asked the beneficiaries to the bicycles profitably, keep servicing them to enable them keep extending service to people. Ndamira asked Chairpersons to avoid indulging them alcoholism in order to remain to remain responsible.
The Kabale district resident commissioner, Godfrey Nyakahuma tasked the chairpersons to embark at holding security meeting during festive season.
RDC Nyakahuma revealed that the district security committee has formed the district security central command center composed of police, Uganda Peoples Defense Force and Internal Security Organization that will work on standby in case of any insecurity alert case in the district.
