Minister of Finance (General Duties), Hon. Henry Musasizi, has reiterated his dedication to enhancing infrastructure and improving service delivery in Rubanda East Constituency.
While addressing residents of Nyakabungo, Nyabirigita, Mukashekye, and Mukasiru villages at Shebeya Health Centre II in Shebeya Parish on Monday, Musasizi acknowledged that poor road infrastructure was a key challenge when he assumed office. However, he pointed to notable progress.

“By the time I came into office, the road network was one of the most pressing issues. But as I speak now, the Rwando–Nyakatare–Mukisa–Kabisa road is accessible. The only challenge remaining is the installation of culverts. I have already spoken to Chairman Kasyaba, and this issue will be addressed as soon as possible,” Musasizi assured residents.

In the health sector, the Minister highlighted the transformation of Hamurwa Health Centre IV, describing it as one of the best-equipped facilities in the Kigezi sub-region.
“We have fully equipped Hamurwa Health Centre IV with an ultrasound scan. Recently, with support from my friends at the Bank of Uganda, we also secured a solar-powered blood refrigerator,” he said.

Musasizi also revealed that he had successfully lobbied for a fully equipped ambulance to improve emergency response and referral services across health facilities in the district.
He urged residents to remain united and to elect leaders with vision and integrity, cautioning against falling prey to misinformation.

“I encourage you to vote for leaders with a clear development agenda, not those who peddle propaganda. We are not electing priests, we are choosing leaders who can transform our communities. Tell those spreading lies that Musasizi is your trusted leader,” he said.
Minister Musasizi also rallied support for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and appealed to constituents to re-elect him as their Member of Parliament in the 2026 general elections.

He further encouraged residents to embrace government wealth creation initiatives like the Parish Development Model (PDM), which are aimed at uplifting households from poverty.
Rubanda District LC5 Chairperson, Stephen Ampeire Kasyaba, echoed the Minister’s message, urging residents of Shebeya Parish, Hamurwa Sub-county, to reject divisive politics and back genuine NRM cadres.

Kasyaba credited the ongoing development in the area to the strong collaboration between Minister Musasizi and the Rubanda District leadership.
He called on residents to support Musasizi’s re-election bid in 2026 to sustain the progress achieved so far.
