The Minister of Finance, Henry Musasizi has directed the leadership of the Microfinance Support Centre (MSC) to align its operations with the government’s vision of transforming Uganda into a US$500 billion economy by 2040.

Minister Musasizi made the call on Tuesday during a meeting with the MSC Board and Management at the Ministry of Finance, where he emphasized the institution’s critical role in expanding financial inclusion and supporting wealth creation across the country.

The MSC delegation was led by Board Chairman Dr. Kiiza Aliba Emmanuel and Executive Director John Peter Mujuni, alongside other senior managers.

Speaking during the meeting, Mujuni said the Microfinance Support Centre remains committed to its mandate of providing sustainable financial services to Uganda’s economically active poor through community-based financial institutions, including SACCOs and savings groups.
