KAMPALA – President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is set to officially inaugurate the Common Wealth Speakers and Presiding Officers’ Conference today.
The conference, which commenced yesterday, is scheduled to conclude on January 6, 2024, at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala.
Rt Hon Anita Annet Among, Speaker of the 11th Parliament of Uganda, revealed that President Museveni will open the conference and address the attendees.
In light of the event, the Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety advises travelers with flights at Entebbe International Airport to plan their journeys in advance to avoid potential inconveniences.
SP Micheal Kananura, the Directorate Public Relations Officer, emphasizes the presence of road use restrictions, alternative routes, and increased activity on routes leading to Speke Resort Munyonyo throughout the conference days.
He urges the public to use roads cautiously, prioritize conference delegates, and comply with traffic police directives.
