DRC – The M23 Movement has designated Corneille Nangaa Yobeluo as the coordinator of the Congo River Alliance, a coalition with civil organizations in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
This alliance aims to put an end to the tumultuous and exploitative rule of the current government.
In a statement released on January 2, 2024, by Bertrand Bisimwa, the President of M23 rebels, Yobeluo is praised as a revolutionary compatriot who has forsaken everything to wholeheartedly serve the national cause.
Bisimwa emphasizes Yobeluo’s unwavering commitment to the liberation of the Democratic Republic of Congo, urging all Congolese to join the Congo River Alliance.
This alliance, he asserts, is the only platform capable of liberating the country and ensuring good governance that prioritizes the well-being of all citizens, fostering peace, reconciliation, conviviality, and emergence.
Bisimwa reveals that the M23 Movement has collaborated with various civil and political organizations to establish the Congo River Alliance, a broader platform dedicated to the ongoing revolutionary march against the chaotic and predatory governance of the ruling regime.
He accuses the ruling regime of causing harm to its citizens, pushing many to the unfortunate choice between exile and a desperate life as beggars.
Bisimwa reassures the Congolese people that the M23 Movement is tirelessly working to eliminate any threats to citizens’ tranquility and freedom.
He firmly declares that the war and bad governance imposed by the President Tshisekedi regime will no longer be tolerated, not only in the already liberated areas but also in those yet to be liberated.
