The Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) 3 Infantry Division has passed out Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) who completed a three-month ideological and leadership course at Moroto Barracks.

The training, which involved Intake Five, brought together officers from different units across the division and focused on strengthening their leadership skills, discipline and understanding of military ideology.

Presiding over the pass-out ceremony on Saturday, the outgoing 3 Infantry Division Commander, Maj Gen Wilberforce Sserunkuma Karate, described NCOs as the backbone of the army and urged them to embrace their leadership responsibilities with discipline and commitment.

“Today marks not the end of training but the beginning of renewed responsibility in your careers. The successful completion of this course is a testament to your hard work and commitment in the force,” Maj Gen Sserunkuma said.
