Kapere, 56, reportedly fell ill on Sunday during a visitation and graduation ceremony at Jolivo Day Care and Junior School in Kyimbejja, where he had gone with his wife, Lydia Nakandi, to see their daughter, Queen.

He was laid on a mat as people attempted to help him, but he appeared barely responsive and remained in distress.He was subsequently rushed to Zam Zam Clinic for medical attention. According to the account of events, medical personnel assessed his condition and referred him to Royale Health Services Hospital, where he later died.
