Alexander Kyokwijuka, popularly known as Amasiko ga Ndorwa East, has officially picked nomination forms to run as an Independent candidate for Member of Parliament for Ndorwa County East in Kabale District ahead of the 2026 general elections.

Once nominated, Kyokwijuka will join the political race against the NRM flag bearer, Protazio Begumisa, and the incumbent MP, Wilfred Niwagaba.

Speaking after receiving the forms, Kyokwijuka thanked his supporters for their unwavering encouragement.

“I do not take your support for granted. My decision to stand is rooted in your voices and aspirations. I pledge to work hand in hand with all stakeholders to deliver better leadership for Ndorwa East,” Kyokwijuka said, emphasizing his commitment to serving the needs of his people.

Kyokwijuka highlighted that Ndorwa East has recently been a hotbed of political discussions, with residents expressing concerns over poor road infrastructure, limited access to agricultural markets, and challenges facing youth and women in creating sustainable livelihoods.
