KAMPALA: Faridah Nambi, the NRM parliamentary aspirant for Kawempe North, has outlined key programs she intends to implement if elected, with a strong focus on economic empowerment and community development.
Nambi emphasized that her manifesto prioritizes lobbying for government funds to support women and youth, whom she says are the most affected by economic hardships due to unemployment.
“I want to help my people access financial support through government programs to improve their incomes. While walking through different zones, I have witnessed numerous challenges, including poverty, heaps of garbage in residential areas, and children loitering during school days,” Nambi stated.
Accompanied by NRM’s Head of Mobilization, Hon. Rosemary Seninde, and her supporters, Nambi spent the day engaging with voters in Kanyanya Quarters, Elisa, Kisalosalo, Nsooba, and Katale zones in Kyebando ward.
She also pledged to provide school bursaries for underprivileged children, collaborate with local leaders to clean trenches and improve waste management, and identify and support young talents in various sports disciplines.
Hon. Seninde urged residents to elect an NRM representative, arguing that opposition leadership over the past 20 years has not brought tangible development to the area.
“I am confident things will change. Opposition MPs keep resisting government initiatives instead of working collaboratively to bring positive change to the residents,” Seninde said.
She assured voters that Nambi would serve as a direct link to the government, facilitating access to essential services such as SEED secondary schools, hospitals, and financial support under President Museveni’s leadership.
