KASESE – The Most Reverend Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Uganda, undertook a significant mission during his three-day pastoral visit to South Rwenzori Diocese in Kasese District.
One of the notable projects he inaugurated was the Maternity Building at Rwensande Health Center IV, dedicated to ensuring safe motherhood.
During the ceremony, he earnestly appealed to the Ministry of Health to provide adequate health personnel to support this vital facility.
Additionally, Archbishop Kaziimba presided over the unveiling of an impressive edifice constructed by South Rwenzori Diocese in collaboration with the Kagando Rural Development Center for Uganda Christian University – Kagando University College.
This development is set to enhance the capacity of Kagando School of Nursing and Midwifery to train a greater number of skilled healthcare professionals.
Another heartwarming commissioning took place at the Children’s Church of St. Luke Kigoro Church of Uganda.
This beautiful establishment was constructed as an expression of gratitude to Bishop Nason Baluku and Mama Jane.
Hecommemorated Bishop Nason’s calling into ministry at the tender age of 12 through this endeavor.
Furthermore, Archbishop Kaziimba dedicated St. Paul’s Vocational Secondary School in Kasese Municipality, designed to provide affordable quality education to the community.
The spiritual leader also inaugurated the South Rwenzori Diocese Trinity SACCO, encouraging Christians and friends to cultivate a culture of saving and accessing low-interest loans to bolster their individual development.
Lastly, the South Rwenzori Diocesan Liturgical Centre was officially commissioned, underscoring the importance of fostering spiritual growth and unity within the diocese.
