Bishop Akanjuna installs Ven Tweteitse as the Archdeacon, Charges him to have Unity

KABALE- It was Pomp, glamour, songs of joy and praise as Christians witnessed the Induction and installation of Ven Rev Amos Tweteitse as the Archdeacon of Kikungiri Archdeaconry during a service at St Mark’s Kikungiri Church of Uganda Archdeaconry in Kabale Municipality.

The Induction and installation ceremony was presided over by the Bishop of Diocese of Kigezi, the Rt Rev Gaddie Akanjuna in presence of Several Archdeacons across the diocese, Priests and Christians.

In his sermon during the service, Bishop Akanjuna asked Venerable Tweteise to be humble during his time of leadership at the Archdeaconry by cooperating with the people under him because most of them will be great and prominent people in future.

Akanjuna said that since he started his services as a Lay Reader in 1991 at Kikungiri Church of Uganda, he has been humble and respectful to each other, which enabled him to be the bishop.

He further asked venerable Tweteise to be faithful to God and the church, by preaching the gospel of restoring hope and faith to the Christians.

He further expressed concern over the continued cases of family break ups, saying that it’s unfortunate some couples exchange vows but divorce within a short period of time, asking the couples to always harmonize their grievances.

Ven Amos and Evas Twetitse commended the unity and cooperation among Christians they have so far witnessed they got transferred to Kikungiri Archdeaconry.

Bishop Akanjuna was accompanied by her dear wife, Maama Charity Akanjuna, Diocesan Secretary Rev Milton Nkurunungi, Chairman House of Clergy Rev Canon Lauben Byomuhangi, Diocesan Missions coordinator Rev Daniel Byamukama, Sub Dean of St Peters Cathedral-Rugarama Ven Benon Agaba, Former Diocesan Secretary Rev Can Erasmus Turyatunga and 15 Archdeacons among others.
