KABALE: Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, the Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna, has urged Christians across the Diocese to be discerning in their choice of friends, emphasizing the importance of surrounding oneself with individuals who are beneficial and supportive.
Bishop Akanjuna made these remarks on Sunday during a baptism and thanksgiving service for Arthur Twesiime, who was commemorating his parents who passed away years ago. The service was held at St. John’s Kamuganguzi Church of Uganda Archdeaconry in Ndorwa West, Kabale District.
Bishop Akanjuna revealed that it is crucial to have good friends who will uplift and encourage one’s faith.
He stated, “Choose friends who will bring a positive influence into your life, who will support your spiritual growth, and help you to live a life that is pleasing to God.”
Bishop Akanjuna stressed the importance of choosing friends who share similar values and who will support one’s spiritual journey.
