Bishop Ngoboka consecrated to lead Born Again churches in Kigezi Sub-region

The National Fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches in Uganda has officially consecrated Onesimus Ngoboka as the new Bishop to lead Born Again churches in the Kigezi Sub-region.

Bishop Ngoboka will oversee the districts of Kanungu, Rukungiri, Rukiga, Kabale, Rubanda and Kisoro. The consecration ceremony, held on Friday at Rukungiri Main Stadium, was a vibrant and colorful event attended by numerous faithful and dignitaries. The Prime Minister of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, represented President Yoweri Museveni at the event.

In a speech delivered on behalf of the President, Museveni congratulated Bishop Ngoboka and praised his visionary and selfless service to the Kigezi region. He commended the Bishop for nurturing the spiritual well-being of believers while also steering them toward development.

President Museveni also lauded religious institutions for their crucial role in mobilizing communities, promoting unity, and improving living standards across the country. He emphasized the importance of four key sectors in wealth and job creation: commercial agriculture, industry, services, and ICT.

He urged religious leaders to continue partnering with the government to advance wealth creation campaigns and combat poverty by encouraging believers to engage in commercial farming and other income-generating ventures.

The President further called upon believers to promote unity and support Bishop Ngoboka in his mission to foster spiritual growth and socio-economic transformation within the region.
