Hornby High School Gears Up for National Special Needs Games

KABALE – Hornby High School in Kabale district is currently in need of UGX 13 Million to facilitate their participation in the National Games for Students with Special Needs.

Scheduled to take place in Arua district from October 1st to 8th, 2023, the Special Needs team, under the guidance of Coach Martin Muhumuza, is diligently preparing for the event.

Despite the team’s commendable progress in training, a pressing concern remains: the insufficient funds raised so far. Only UGX 4 million has been secured, leaving a substantial deficit.

Highlighting the importance of these games for students with special needs, Hornby High School’s Head Teacher, Tumusiime George Aturebire, underscored how participation contributes significantly to the development of self-esteem and confidence among these students.

This year’s National Special Needs Students Games will be hosted by Mvara Secondary School in Arua.
