Preliminary reports indicate that at the time of the accident, the driver of the Isuzu ELF was transporting aggregates from the Lake Bunyonyi side towards Kabale.
The motorcycle, also traveling in the same direction ahead of the vehicle, was knocked from behind after the truck reportedly suffered brake failure, causing the driver to lose control.

Maate noted that Police were notified, and a team led by ASP Mucunguzi, Officer-in-Charge of Traffic, visited the scene, sketch plan was drawn, statements were recorded, and the deceased’s body was taken to Kabale Referral Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem examination.
He said that both the motor vehicle (UBB 675Y) and the motorcycle (UEY 865V) are currently parked at Kabale Central Police Station (CPS) yard pending inspection by the Inspector of Vehicles (IOV).
