Minister of Finance (General Duties) and Rubanda East Member of Parliament, Hon. Henry Musasizi, has taken a swipe at his political opponents, accusing them of lacking a clear development agenda and instead engaging in smear campaigns.

While addressing residents of Nyamweru Sub county on Thursday, Minister Musasizi criticized his rivals for focusing on personal attacks rather than articulating their plans for the constituency.

“Tell my opponents to stop abusing me at campaign rallies. I can assure you, they have nothing else to tell you,” Musasizi said to an enthusiastic crowd.

“If they can’t insult me, they’re speechless. They should be discussing issues like social service delivery, but they know our performance speaks for itself. So instead, they vent their frustrations at me.”

Minister Musasizi further dismissed criticism over the damaged section of the Nyamweru–Kyocyezo road, calling it a desperate attempt by his opponents to tarnish his development record.

He also announced the delivery of a new, fully-equipped ambulance secured through his lobbying efforts at the Ministry of Health.

“The ambulance will be officially handed over today. It’s equipped for emergency care and will run on a government fuel card—so our people will no longer bear the burden of transport costs during medical emergencies,” he said.
