A total of 10 students qualified to represent the region at the national level—six from Parental Care Primary School, three from St. Mukasa Preparatory Seminary, and one from Little Stars Primary School in Kizinda.

The top three individual spellers were:

Organized by enjuba, a social enterprise promoting literacy, critical thinking, and communication skills among learners, the Spelling Bee also aims to instill essential life skills for success beyond the classroom.

Lynn Ninkusiima, a participant from Parental Care Primary School, said the competition has greatly boosted her self-esteem.

“The Spelling Bee has helped me improve in class and in other co-curricular activities. I now read more and speak with confidence,” she said.
