KABALE – The Archdeacon of St. Mark Kikungiri Church of Uganda Archdeaconry in Kabale District, Ven. Amos Tweteise has emphasized the importance of respecting the Anglican Church and cautioned against the deceptive blending of religions under the guise of worshiping one God.

In his sermon during the Induction service of Rev. Godson and Betty Katarihwa as the new Parish Priest of Mwiisi Church of Uganda Parish in Kitumba sub-county, Kabale district yesterday, Ven. Amos Tweteise urged Christians to be discerning and avoid inadvertently providing opportunities for the worship of the devil.

The occasion marked the transition from Rev. Just Ayebare to Rev. Godson, who assumed the role of Parish Priest after Rev. Ayebare’s appointment as the Treasurer of the Diocese of Kigezi in a recent reshuffle.
