KABALE – Police in Kabale District are currently investigating the death of Gidion Akanwasa, a 38-year-old court bailiff attached to Rukungiri high court.
The deceased, residing in Kanoni village, Maziba sub-county, Kabale district, was discovered near the garage of his house at 5:00 AM yesterday.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region Police spokesperson, stated that the case, reported at Kabale Central Police Station with SD ref: 07/15/01/2024, is being treated as murder.
Maate stated that following the report, a homicide team, led by D/SP Mukama Hakim, swiftly responded, identified the body with the help of relatives, and conducted necessary procedures, including scene documentation, witness statements, postmortem examination, and finally handed over the body to the family for a respectful burial.
