KABALE – The National Chairman of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Jack Crissy Sabiiti has expressed his concerns about Col Dr. Kizza Besigye, accusing him of fostering selfishness, causing chaos, and creating divisive factions within the party.

Sabiiti, who is also the former Member of Parliament for Rukiga, made these remarks today while addressing FDC delegates from Greater Kabale at Kings Hotel in Kabale Municipality.

This development unfolds amid heightened internal strife within the FDC, triggered by allegations that party leaders Nandala Mafabi and Patrick Amuriat received significant financial support from State House in the lead-up to the 2021 general elections.

Besigye rejected an internal report exonerating Mafabi and Amuriat, dismissing it as worthless and divulged the serial numbers of new currency notes totaling Shs 300,000,000, alleging that Hon. Mafabi had entrusted him with the money for FDC election agents, calling for a forensic inquiry into its source.

But, Sabiiti accuse Besigye for employing tactics to abandon FDC and endorse the National Unity Platform (NUP) in the 2026 elections. Sabiiti alleges that Besigye harbored intentions of undermining and taking ownership of the FDC, which he argued was contrary to the party’s constitution.
