Decrease in Indiscipline Cases Spurs Growth among Boda – Boda Riders in Bukimbiri

KISORO – The chairperson of Bukimbiri United Boda Boda Operators (BUBO) in Kisoro District Mugabe Robert has reported a significant reduction in indiscipline cases among Boda riders in Bukimbiri County following their separation from Kisoro United Boda Boda Operators (KUBO).

Mugabe attributes this positive change to the effective monitoring of Boda stages facilitated by local leaders. Since their separation from KUBO, Bukimbiri United Boda Boda Operators has seen a substantial growth in membership, boasting over 800 members and establishing 18 Boda Boda stages across Bukimbiri County. This parting from KUBO was prompted by issues of indiscipline and a lack of transparency among its members.

In a recent development, the association yesterday launched a new stage at Kabishwi trading center in Murambi Village, Kirundo Sub County, underscoring their commitment to expanding their services.

Mugabe encourages Boda riders to adopt this positive trend and invites new entrants to consider joining BUBO. He emphasizes the numerous benefits associated with membership, including financial literacy and assistance, unity, and solidarity.
