KOBOKO – Police in Koboko District made a startling discovery when they found a firearm with ammunition in a rental room owned by Zubeda Gisima, a 30-year-old businesswoman and resident of Nyelwa village, Midia sub-county in Koboko District.

The revelation came after a comprehensive search of the premises.

According to a police statement, the search uncovered various items, including a pistol without a magazine, seventy-eight (78) live SMG Rifle ammunition, a green plastic army bottle, and six MTN SIM cards.

The rental room had previously been occupied by an individual known only as Ivan for a two-week period before mysteriously disappearing to an undisclosed location.

Zubeda Gisima, the landlady linked to the suspect Ivan, and Chandiga Francis, a South Sudanese refugee who facilitated Ivan’s room rental arrangement, were apprehended by the police to aid in the ongoing investigations.
