Kabale Teenager Sentenced for Stealing Government Motorcycle

KABALE – A 19-year-old, Ainembabazi Nelson, also known as Bashiri Abubaker Nabasa, has been sentenced to 3 years in Ndorwa Government Prison for stealing a white Yamaha X TZ motorcycle, valued at Shs 12 million, owned by the Kabale District Local Government.

The theft occurred on September 15, 2023, in Ruhita Cell within the southern division of Kabale Municipality.

Presided over by Kabale Chief Magistrate Derrick Byamugisha, the case found Ainembabazi guilty of violating sections 254(1) and 265 of the penal code act.

He was apprehended in Mbale District on September 23, 2023, and voluntarily admitted guilt during the court proceedings.

Ainembabazi, a resident of Kekuubo in Central Division, Kabale Municipality, sought a more lenient sentence, expressing remorse.
