KABALE – Police in Kabale District are currently on a manhunt for Isaac Ndyamuhaki, also known as Yesu, in connection with the alleged murder of his 63-year-old mother-in-law, Provia Kenyange.
The tragic incident took place on 04/08/2023, at approximately 07:00 pm, in Karuhuma village, Kyanamira sub-county in Kabale district.

Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region police spokesperson, stated that it is believed that the suspect attacked his mother-in-law with a panga, inflicting fatal injuries to her head and neck.
The victim, Kyampaire Florence, had been married to the suspect for ten years, and they shared two children together. However, the couple had been experiencing domestic issues, which eventually led Kyampaire Florence to leave her husband.
On the fateful day, 04/08/2023, around 06:30 pm, the suspect located Kyampaire Florence in the garden, along with their two children. In a fit of rage, he pursued them with a panga, resulting in the tragic and untimely death of the mother-in-law.
Upon witnessing the horrifying incident, the children rushed home to inform their grandfather, the deceased woman’s husband. He immediately contacted his son, Arineitwe Rogers, who promptly reported the matter to the Kabale police station.
A team of officers, led by the in-charge of operations, promptly arrived at the scene, thoroughly documented the evidence, retrieved the victim’s body, and subsequently transferred it to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination. As of now, the suspect remains at large, and the investigations are currently ongoing.
The murder case has been officially registered at Kabale district police station under reference number CRB 603/2023.
