Family experts and church leaders in Kabale District have expressed concern over the increasing strain on marriages caused by busy work schedules and limited family time, calling on couples to strike a balance between their professional duties, spiritual growth, and family responsibilities.

John Mary Kisembo, the National Leader of the Cana Movement in Uganda, said many families today are battling neglect, emotional disconnection, and weak spiritual foundations because couples prioritize work and social engagements over their relationships and faith.

Speaking during a meeting with Cana leaders and Family Ministry coordinators in Kabale Diocese at Rushoroza Pastoral Centre on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, Kisembo urged leaders to strengthen mobilization at parish level so that more families join the movement. He noted that faith-based family groups like Cana play a critical role in rebuilding strong marriages and promoting moral values.
