Presiding over the process at Kasese Multipurpose Hall in Kasese Town, Godfrey Mbabazi, the Kasese District Electoral Commission Administrator, reported a steady flow of both incumbents and new candidates presenting their nomination papers.

He explained that only candidates who appeared with their proposers and seconders were allowed through, to ensure their details matched those in the national voters’ register.

Mbabazi, however, noted that the District LCV Chairperson aspirants could not be nominated on the first day due to time constraints, though some had already submitted their documents for verification.
