SHEEMA: The Bishop of West Ankole Diocese, Rt. Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni, has urged graduates of Ankole Western University in Sheema District to put their trust in God as they venture into the job market.
Bishop Twinomujuni, who is also the Chancellor of Ankole Western University, made the appeal on Friday while conferring degrees and diplomas to over 400 graduates at a ceremony held at the university’s campus in Kabwohe Division, Sheema Municipality.
He advised the graduates to embrace hard work and professionalism as they step into their respective fields. He also called upon the government to waive the university’s tax debt owed to the Uganda Revenue Authority, which was incurred during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This debt has kept the university struggling. If waived, it could help propel the institution to the next level,” he said.
