KABALE: Kabale District Education Officer, Moses Tumwijukye Bwengye has expressed worry over the growing misconception among parents who dissuade their children from embracing technical skills.
Bwengye criticized the notion instilled in children by their parents that technical schools are solely for underperforming students.
He stressed the importance of parents considering technical schools as valuable avenues for equipping their children with essential skills for their future endeavors.
Bwengye clarified that technical schools offer a comprehensive education, including science subjects like mathematics and physics, catering to students of all academic abilities.
He urged parents to discard negative attitudes toward technical institutes and instead view them as opportunities to provide their children with a diverse skill set, effectively preparing them for the challenges ahead.
