KABALE – Authorities at Kigezi College Butobere in Kabale District have made an earnest appeal to the government of Uganda to refurbish the school premises, citing its current state as a matter of concern.
The call was made on Saturday during a school day event held at the Butobere Ward, Kabale Municipality. Justus Mastiko, the School Head Teacher, Counsel Elvis Twenda, Chairman of SINIYA Alumni Forum, and Moses Tahobari, the Chairperson of the Board of Governors, jointly emphasized that the dilapidated buildings have severely impacted the school’s enrollment.
In addition to the infrastructural challenges, the school is also in dire need of an essential motor vehicle to play a vital role in supporting smoother administration work, enabling better oversight of school activities, and ensuring the safety of both staff and students during school travels.
The authorities firmly believe that efforts to refurbish the school will restore its former glory in all aspects. The Kigezi College Butobere authorities now call upon the government for its support in addressing these pressing issues.
