KISORO: Kisoro United Boda Boda Electoral Committee has urged all registered members of KUBO to participate in their general elections scheduled for July 31, 2024, in Kisoro Municipality.
This announcement was made by Nkurunziza Wilber, the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission for Kisoro United Boda Boda, ahead of the closure of the nomination exercise. The nominations began on Monday and are expected to end today, July 23, 2024.
Nkurunziza Wilber stated that only members who have been part of the association for at least four years and hold a Senior Four certificate are eligible to contest in the 2024 general elections, where a total of 7,000 members are expected to vote.
Wilber also emphasized that any candidate who acts illegally according to their laws of conduct will face heavy fines.

Speaking to our reporter, Karangala Robert, who is contesting for the position of Chairperson of Kisoro United Boda Boda Association, disclosed that he is ready to continue his projects and requested votes from his constituents. As the current Chairperson of KUBO, Karangala urged boda boda members to avoid over-speeding during the campaign period to prevent accidents.
However, his opponent, Mwunvaneza Amos Vian, requested that the current Chairperson surrender the seat, citing his long tenure and certain developments that did not please members.
