KABALE:
The territorial police in Kabale district have this morning arrested four suspects who allegedly gang raped a 13 years old Glorious Akampurira Owembabazi a resident of Kyarugondo village, Kasyeregyenyi parish, Kamuganhuzi sub county in Kabale district, and died moments later.
The suspects in custody are; Davis Akankwasa Kehoda, Allan Akanyijuka, Sendarera Moses and,
Norman Ahumuza Kanuma all residents of Kasheregyenyi parish Kamuganguzi sub county Ndorwa West County in Kabale district according to Elly Maate, the Kigezi region police Spokes person.
“Information was received by SP Ruganza Abel, the DPC Kabale from the lc3 chairperson of Kamuganguzi sub county Mr. Twesigomwe Elias that there is unidentified girl who had been raped and was unconscious being taken to Kabale regional referral hospital” Maate Says.
Maate narrates that the incident happened on 25/12/2022 at around 8:00Pm at Nyakasharara trading center, Kyarugondo village, Kasheregyenyi parish, Kamuganguzi sub county in kabale district.
“The DPC and the team went on ground and effected one arrest of Davis” Maate added.
He added, then later information from the lc3 chairperson Kamuganguzi sub county, was received that the victim was pronounced dead on arrival at Kabale regional referral hospital.
