KAMPALA – The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, the Rt Rev Gaddie Akanjuna, has emphasized the importance of hard work and unity among couples.
Bishop Akanjuna shared this during a Baptism service at St. Mark Church of Uganda in Sekiwunga Akright, Kampala, over the weekend. The service celebrated the baptism of the children of Justus Obey Twinomujuni, the CEO of VanJoy Consults Limited and ED Justus Obey Foundation.
Bishop Akanjuna passionately advised couples to strive for harmonious living, improve their household income, and set future plans for their families.
He firmly believed that if all couples embraced togetherness within their families, issues like domestic violence, poverty, and family breakdown could be minimized.
Bishop Akanjuna encouraged parents to prioritize the education of their children, recognizing the vital role educated individuals play in fostering future family development.
During the church service, Hon. Minister David Bahati, the State Minister for Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives and Member of Parliament for Ndorwa West County in Kabale District, emphasized the need for couples to pray together, highlighting that a family without God often faces numerous challenges.
Minister Bahati also expressed gratitude to Justus Obey for his friendship, hard work, authenticity, and dynamic personality.
Hon. Tom Bright, Member of Parliament Kyaka Central, Kyegegwa District, praised Justus Obey for his strong work ethic and friendly demeanor.
Obey Twinomujuni and his wife, Regina Ntegyereize, expressed their gratitude to their friends and godparents for their presence and support. Obey also encouraged the younger generation to invest in building developmental friendships.
Following the church service, Justus Obey Twinomujuni hosted a luncheon at his exquisite new home in Akright Kitende, Entebbe.
