‎The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, The Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, has officially opened a four-day capacity building and training workshop for Diocesan Household and Community Transformation (HCT) Coordinators at Lweza Training and Conference Centre.

HCT, the Church of Uganda’s social-economic development arm, is spearheading the training aimed at equipping diocesan coordinators with skills to drive transformation at household and community level.

‎In his keynote address, Archbishop Kaziimba urged participants to uphold integrity, remain non-partisan, and pursue excellence in ministry and service delivery.
‎
‎He emphasized environmental conservation through tree planting, continuous learning, physical fitness, and timely reporting as key practices for effective transformation work.

He cautioned coordinators against engaging in partisan politics, warning that such involvement often divides congregations.

“If anyone wishes to engage politically, they must first resign from Church positions. As servants of the Kingdom, you are called to preach peace and unity. Remember, any statement you make is taken as the position of the Church of Uganda,” the Archbishop stressed.
