William Opio, chairman of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church Olupe building committee, commended Mulalu for his support, particularly in providing materials needed for roofing the church.

“We had completed the structural construction but lacked the resources to roof the church. When we reached out to Mulalu, he willingly offered to help. We are truly grateful,” Opio stated.

Joseph Atorinyang, the Zonal Chairperson, also acknowledged the impact of the donation, emphasizing that the cement had saved them a significant amount of money in their ongoing construction efforts.

“On behalf of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church Olupe community, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Team Kazi Ni Kazi,” Atorinyang said.

Simon Peter Oranit, Chairman of LCI Bisina Cell in Olupe Town Board, Ngariam Sub-county, also thanked Mulalu for his generosity toward religious institutions.

“As chairpersons, we are ready to work with you through both challenges and smooth times,” Oranit remarked.

The donated cement was officially handed over to the church administrators by Mulalu and his team during a ceremony on Sunday.

Speaking at the event, Mulalu emphasized that the donation was part of their corporate social responsibility to the communities they operate in.

“As someone who deeply values faith and community development, I responded to the call of believers who sought assistance in constructing their places of worship,” he said.

Mulalu also urged the people of Ngariam to embrace government programs such as the Parish Development Model (PDM) and Emyooga to combat poverty. He encouraged residents to form organized groups to maximize the benefits of these initiatives.

However, Joseph Ejinyet, the catechist of St. Peter’s Catholic Church Olupe, cautioned political agents against using churches as platforms for political campaigns.

“As church leaders, we will not allow political campaigns to disrupt the worship and unity of God’s people, especially during this election period,” Ejinyet warned.
