KABALE – On Tuesday, the Kabale district council unanimously approved a supplementary budget of Four hundred million shillings dedicated to the much-needed rehabilitation of the infrastructure at Maziba Health Centre IV in Maziiba Sub County of Ndorwa East County.
The motion to approve the supplementary budget was moved by the secretary for Health, Education, Sports and Community based services, Hillary Byamukama, before it was approved by council.
According to Byamukama the allocation of Funds adheres to the guidelines laid out in regulation 25, sub-regulation (1). This particular regulation governs supplementary estimates aimed at bolstering recurrent expenditures or capital development initiatives.
It essentially entails an increase in the total approved estimated expenditure for the fiscal year.
Sub-regulation (3) of the same framework underscores the importance of securing council approval for supplementary estimates, particularly those falling under sub-regulation (5)1.
Deriving powers from Local Government act Sec 7-(6), Kabale District council also approved a motion to annex some villages of Bukora and Mwendo parishes to Bwama parish for proper service deliveries.
The motion for the annexure was moved by the Kitumba Sub county female council, Medius Katushabe.
