State Minister of Finance and Rubanda East Member of Parliament, Henry Musasizi, has donated 50 bags of cement and a preaching pulpit to Butuurwa Church of Uganda, fulfilling a pledge he recently made to support church development.

The pulpit was delivered and officially unveiled during Sunday service on June 8, 2025. On Friday, June 14, 2025, Pius Tumwiine, LC.3 Chairperson of Bubare Sub-county, delivered the cement on Musasizi’s behalf.

The donation will support ongoing construction of the Catechist’s house at the church, located in Butuurwa Village, Kyocyezo Parish, Nyamweru Sub-county, Rubanda District.

Tumwiine noted that Minister Musasizi’s consistent donations aim to complement efforts of congregants, helping churches save money for other critical needs.

“By donating items like the pulpit and cement, the church can redirect its resources to other projects,” said Tumwiine.

Enock Mureebe, Chairperson of the Church Construction Committee, also praised Musasizi’s continued support, calling him a “leader of all people” and highlighting his contributions to multiple religious institutions across the district.

In a related development, Minister Musasizi also fulfilled another pledge by donating 100 iron sheets to Kibuzigye Church of Uganda.

He had made the pledge on June 6, 2025, during a memorial prayer for the late Georgina Nyabaja of Rwamagyenda Village, who passed away at the age of 104.
