RUBANDA – The State Minister of Finance, General Duties, Henry Ariganyira Musasizi has inaugurated the commencement of construction for Kibuzigye Seed Secondary School, marking the third educational institution to be established in Rubanda District within a span of four years.
The construction project is entrusted to Geses Ug. Ltd, with a designated budget of Shs. 2.42Billion. The comprehensive development plan encompasses the erection of Two Classroom Blocks, an ICT Block, a Science Block, Two Self-Contained Twin Staff Buildings, Two Water Tanks, and Two V.I.P Latrines.
Kibuzigye Seed Secondary School is a significant addition to Rubanda District’s educational landscape, following the completion and inauguration of Nyamweru School last year and the ongoing construction of Ruhiija Seed Secondary School. This initiative aligns with the government’s strategic goal to establish a secondary school in each sub county.
The momentous Launching Ceremony took place at the school premises in Rwarugambwa Cell, Kibuzigye Ward, Hamuhambo Town Council Yesterday (Friday). Minister Musasizi, who also serves as the Rubanda East MP and NRM Chairperson for the district, graced the event as the Chief Guest. He disclosed that his efforts to secure government backing for the school date back to his entrance into parliament in 2011, spurred by the community’s entreaties since 2010.
“This achievement is a realization of a long-held aspiration. The people of Kibuzigye implored me to advocate for government support for the school during my initial parliamentary campaign in 2010,” Minister Musasizi articulated.
Intrinsically linked to the establishment of the Government-aided school in Hamuhambo Town Council is the facilitation of subsequent advancements, including access to electricity, water supply, and well-maintained roads within the locality, Minister Musasizi emphasized.
